question about stasis track sport suspension

on their site it lists normal street as a 500lb spring and aggressive street as a 600lb spring.

how stiff is the 600lb spring going to be? too much for daily driving?

Re: question about stasis track sport suspension

I'd go with the 500 pound springs and a set of the H-Sport bars. You'll get dead flat cornering, predictable response, and it will still eat up the bumpy roads. Any marginal track improvement from the stiffer springs won't be worth the compromise on the street.

My 600lb springs are a bit harsh, depending on the road.

damn i cant imagine what our cars would feel like with say 800 lbs springs. There are going to be all kinds of wonderful new creaking noises that will be there forever.

I have the startup racing, and those are rated like 675 and 750 and its not that bad. I also have terrible roads. I think its also dependant on other factors like those springs being linear.

Re: question about stasis track sport suspension

there are those that would say a lot of the harshness is dependent on the damper rates and how they control the spring movement. I recently moved from the H&R springs with Bilstein shocks to Vogtland Club Spec springs to go with the B's. Even though the VCS springs are quite a bit stiffer, the car actually rides better over most of the roads that I drive on everyday...never mind the fact that the car is also quicker for my auto-x events.. ;-p

It depends on the last two digits of your SSN, IIRC.

Some of us just need to find somebody to procreate with. Down side is that the extra they're giving you doesn't cover the expenses of having kids. Let's see, cost of raising a child > tax rebate. You've got two kids right?

Re: question about stasis track sport suspension

back to the topic at hand....onemoremile you don't think a 35mm bar is a little aggressive for the tracksport set up. I've talked to the guys at stasis about mine and they said a rear bar is about all i'd want. I'm planning on getting bars this week but hate to go overboard.
