neuspeed 19mm rear for quattro, is the 22mm a myth?

So we all know the fwd audi/vw platform has access to a 25 and 28mm adjustable rear sway bar from neuspeed. Neuspeed advertises as having only a 19mm for the quattro models, although I have come across a 22mm on some sites (not neuspeed, however).

What's the deal? Is there a 22mm available for the S4 (because of the additional weight), but it'll obviously fit the A4 as well?

I think one is older and the other is newer. I think I have the 19mm on my s4.

Neuspeed did make a 22 mm rear. It's hard to find but, I've seen them.

It is a myth, I called Neuspeed and they only make a 19mm rear for the Quattro models. I have the 19mm adjustable bar from Neuspeed and it is way better than the stock swaybar.

The 19mm was big enough to crack sub frames that were not properly reinforced, so why would you want to go bigger? I have their 19mm rear sway bar with the upgraded braces, along with ECS Tuning's metal end links and they work great.

Well the neuspeed rear sway bar comes with the brackets anyway so I'm not too concerned about it. Are they meant for stock height or lowered cars (ie: are they shorter to maintain correct suspension geometry without binding)

i talked to nuespeed some time ago, and they said they had too many complaints from cracked subframes, so they COULD sell it, if you sign a paper saying this would prob break your car. Thats was like a year ago through a rep (my friend owns a store, huge distributor for them).
    2002 A4 - sold
    1990 CQ - sold (sadly)
    2000 S4 - sold (sadly-er)

If you buy it new it does come with the upgraded sub frame brackets, but they did sell the kit previously without the upgraded brackets and that's when people were complaining about the cracked sub frames.

So if you buy the kit new, you should be ok as long as it is not old stock but if you are considering buying the kit used you'll want to make sure it has the upgraded brackets.

Here is what the complete kit looks like:

The flat bar brace with the plate on the end was part of the original kit, while the round tubular brace that connects the ends of the original brace was added later.

Next to the braces is the ECS Tuning metal end links.

Re: neuspeed 19mm rear for quattro, is the 22mm a myth?

I have the 21MM rear sway from H+R. I welded my sway bar bracket to the subframe using 1/8" flat stock.
See my autox video if you want to know how well it works..

I have contemplated even going to the 23mm's. but I think that doing the differential mod will allow me to enduce the throttle oversteer action that I am looking for (I hate mashing the throttle and pushing...)
