Cold start issue input please!

Car will crank but will not start. I didnt have this problem a day earlier in NYC(where i live). The outside temperature is 36 degrees. Car runs a GT28Elimin with Unitronics programming. Also when I parked the car the fuel light came on. Could it be that im truly out of gas and the light came on late?

ok problem occured again this morning but it did start after 3-4 attempts. I think its fuel or spark related. Any ideas people? Has anyone encountered this problem? Mr. Hood and all the BAT boys?

Ok my issue was resolved. Turns out that my chip which was soldered on and not flashed like i thought popped out of the socket. Once i rectified that and swapped the ground and power wires to my upgraded fuel pump the car fired right up. But the initial problem was the chip. I introduced the other problem when i replaced my factory pump thinking it was bad. Just a note to anyone who upgrades their pump; the ground wire on the pump is yellow and the power wire is black.
