2.0T Tip studdering when slowing to a stop...

Not sure if I'm paranoid and just noticing this now that my car is out of warranty but when I brake to a stop the car feels like it studders and is about to die but it doesn't. It just feels kind of rough.

Is this common or am I paranoid?

I believe that's a very common problems for all of our B7 tiptronic guys...i heard it's a normal problem due to the new FSI engine...but I might be wrong...this problem sometimes happens on my car too....

does the tach actually drop below normal idle speed or does the car just shake? if the tach is fine then your car is fine its just what you deal with from the fuel pump and having tip. if your tach drops to almost 0 then shoots up then i would goto a dealer.

It happens to me when the rpm is low, <1300 rpm, and the gearbox is shifting from 3rd to 2nd. I sent it to dealer a year ago to fix it and it started to appear again in a month ago. The tech guy said it's pretty common, but it can be fixed. All he needed to do is to increase the pressure of the gearbox pump (don't exactly remember what he said). But it's a 3-5 hrs job depending on traffic because he needed to drive and adjust the pressure at the same time.

Not an engine problem, but caused by the zf tranny.

Happens to me sometimes, not often enough that it bothers me though.

After relieving the pressure has it come back?
