Finally getting my hands on a sick A4!

So after trying to sell my rwd Nissan Xterra since december, its finally gone as of thursday. The next day this:

A couple things not listed... built transmission with s4 clutch and new oem brakes.

Some of the prices are a little exagerated, but still... a sick deal.

The only problems are hail damage on the roof and a blown oil seal in the eurospec k04. The car was tuned by Jeff Moss out here in Denver, so it should run good at altitude.


I plan to replace the side skirts with S4 ones and paint the rims as a temporary solution. Any suggestions on color?

Down the road, coilovers, Rims... prob Flik Justice or similar, then Built 2.0 with 3071R.

Also, anyone have a K04 for sale? He is having the RS6 speciallist at prestige in denver install the turbo, i just need to find one.

Anyway, I can't wait to drive it! Im so pumped to finally be getting an a4, and a great deal (better than the add) at that!

Will do! Just have to find a turbo first. There is a guy in Loveland that said he would sell me k04 internals for 600. I would have to bolt on the hot side and compressor housing from the eurospec. I have heard the eurospecs are known for this problem. Will i have the same problem down the road using those housings?

You could just have the turbo rebuilt. probably cost about 600 and you'll know its done right..

my exact same car, without all the mods, cept it was 01. cost 11k. wtf? and it was black black and had just gotten head rebuilt cuz the timing belt broke, and they had ALL records, single owner. and it still runs great but damn 8k?

When i switch to the s4 sideskirts, do most people shave the molding or just paint it? I thought it stuck out being black, but not sure about silver

Ya, my only concern is that i was told that the Eurospec K04 compressor side is know to have problems as well... as in bad machining etc. I think i may have a lead on a new k04 for $850. Seem like an ok deal?

Not a bad deal for a new k04. They are so scarce these days so you will have to over pay to get what you want.

Just get an eliminator 28 kit, wont cost much more than a k04. The car already looks to have all the supporting mods as it is, though you'd have to dish out money on a tune, but then again if the car has a k04 tune you can always sell that.

What all would be needed to run an eliminator on my current setup? Are larger ingectors/maf required? As far as the tune, I may be able to get that hooked up at a discount at the end of the summer, but until then would i be alright limiting boost?

I think i am going to just bolt up a k04 for now, then when i build the engine go 2871 or 3071.

Found a new K04 today... After calling all over the country, i found one local! A little more than i was hoping to pay, but I don't have to wait for shipping.

Yea, I know. All the Gt series i saw, i was looking at $1300, But then i would have to get retuned, and it just don't have the money for that. The actual turbo was 950, and then the hardware kit and tax. Its not too bad, considering everywhere else is sold out( been calling everywhere over the past week...), and even if they weren't, it is $835 +shipping +tax.

Either way, its done now, and I really don't want to think about it. Haha... I just want to drive my car. Cant wait for Sunday!

Shrug. The owner said they made quite a difference, especially after the tune. It probably wouldn't have been my first choice, but since they are there, its not like i will be pulling them out. Plus, when i go 2.0, they should be nice.

well the good thing is, when you realize the k04 just isn't enough, you can sell it for a pretty penny still. Just sell all the other supporting upgrades like ecu, injectors, etc. The cost to move up to a gt28rs isn't that big of a difference.

Well after almost two weeks of waiting, I finally picked the car up today!
All i can say is WOW! I Love it! It pulls like a mofo! I can't imagine what the BAT guys feel like! I need to clean it up, both inside and out, but wow. Thats all i can say!

Still burning the leftover oil out of the exhaust (which sounds amazing btw), but other than that, it runs great!

Custom, no, S4 yes. Cream leather with blue alcantara (sp?) Power and heated seats.

Pretty sure that wasn't an option on s4 seats. The options were black leather with blue or white alcantara. I've never seen cream with alcantara. The alcantara isn't the right shade and it doesn't extend all the way down the seat either.
