    BT water line question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Im putting together water and oil lines for my gt2871r that will hopefully be getting installed within the next couple of weeks. I have almost everything I need for the oil and water lines, except I need to know how does the water line connect to the block and the return. I have the connections at the turbo and also have the -6AN line. So someone tell me how to connect it to the block and the return pipe. Thanks
I do work around the South East on your 1.8t or 2.7t, PM for more info

    Re: BT water line question

If you are referring to the coolant line, it is pretty simple.
The coolant feed line comes from the area around where the radiator hose starts, and the coolant return is right under the turbo and is connected by a line maybe 8 inches.
You can see it if you get under the car, it is held on by a banjo washer with a hex head

If I want to run all new coolant lines, what kind of fitting do i need to get to connect from my -6AN stainless line to the cars hookups?

bump, I'd like to know this also, steel braded lines are much cleaner looking, so both the coolant lines running to and from the turbo are -6AN?

    Re: BT water line question

Im not sure what size they are stock, but from the reading and searching I have done, people use -6AN.

They make a braided looking hose that can be used for coolant lines, this means they can connect using AN fittings at the turbo and held onto a hard pipe using a clamp. This is how 034 does their coolant lines in their kit and how my car is setup.

Here is a picture, the coolant lines are the 2 in the middle.
