Oh snap, ANOTHER spark plug thread?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So i currently run the BKR7E's, great plug for the 2871. However, in the next few weeks i'm going to be needing a different type of plug and am not sure which direction to go.

so here's what i need and hopfully someone can point me in the right direction...
    1) Not Platinum, not copper but iriduim.
    2) Something a step colder then the 7's

I'd also like to know what people are running in thier 'BAT' as far as plugs and gap.

For my 'project' i can gap no lower then .025 and no larger then .028.

    Thank you.

P.S. Don't ask what i'm doing, you'll find out in a month or two...

    bosche f6 dtcs

I'll swear by these plugs. I was missing pretty hard before the last time we dynoed. I paid like 25 bucks to have them overnighted to me to make sure i was good to dyno. It broke up a little bit, but not bad at all. On the street they didn't missfire. Just a tad on the dyno, which i think is due to heatsoak.

F6 DTC is the plug to run on a BAT.

its a copper. Iridium is shit. They say they last forever but they don't. they are expensive and they pit the ground and throws off the gap.

It is 1 colder then stock IIRC. You dont need a really cold plug when running BAT since it produces lower IAT's then the smaller turbos.

I run the bosch plugs pushing 32psi boost.

for just a BT setup though, not BAT (gtrs or the likes), go with bkr7e or f6 dtc?

Re: Oh snap, ANOTHER spark plug thread?

Hmmm, i will try the bosches, but i got a feeling i need a step colder.

Iriduim plugs are something i'll try too for my application. I'll report back on my findings bewteen different plugs as i'm doing something a little different

i got some new fr5dtc's if you're interested. one step colder than the f6's. too cold for my 2871. lemme know. dunno if that's too cold too for whatever setup you're running.

Those would most likely be better used in a smaller turbo like a 28r or K04.

You dont gap the F6's since they are a multi ground plug.
