my car :( help!!

i guess my boost pressure something went out and the car didnt want to boost but now that it is fixed i floor it and it doesnt boost at all so i pretty much am N/a i have a 97 a4 1.8t i was told take it to a dealer to get reprogramed is this true help

how do you know you dont have any boost, are you running a boost gauge?

no im not but when i floor it...it doesnt really go anywhere like i have no pull in it at all

Any Check Engine Lights? Changes in the sound of the exhaust?

Whoever told you to take it to the dealer to have it reprogrammed should get themselves reprogrammed.

possibly the maf sensor and ur in limp mode.

you hear a ppsssshhhhhh like once you hit around 3k RPM.. check to see if your smic a hose hasnt come off.. happened to me on my fmic scared the shit out of me when i hit boost!! lol
