Want to paint rear valance flat black?

Has anyone painted there own factory rear valance with good results? I changed my front grill with the RS4 grill with flat black filler plate and want to carry the same theme in the rear. I really don't feel like paying a shop to paint it if I can do it myself with good results. I was thinking of using Krylon spray paint or something along those lines. Will I need to prime it or just prep it and paint. I figured if it comes out bad I'll just have to buy a CF valance or pick up a used one. Any advice or suggestions would be great. Thanks.

I painted mine. Matched it to the front 'satin-black' filler plate. Had the shop paint it. I agree with your decision; If you change the grill, you have to match it to the rear valence.

Thanks guys. That's exactly what I want to do. So I need to use a high temp paint and primer? Do you know the brands and where I can buy them.
