does anyone have any suggestions on a cheap boost gauge?

it only has to work, it doesn't need to look good or anything like that. as long as it reads vac and up to 30psi.

    thanks guys

    Re: boost gauge

p.s. - no offense intended to winston or AWE or anything... I'm just not up for dropping 150-200+ bucks on a gauge/pod when i can make a pod myself, and only need the gauge for trouble shooting/tweaking.

    /\ I'm with B6lovin on this:

I can get a fancy dancy one later on down the road, but for now a regular $50 one will do...

    Re: boost gauge

^how nice is the price? i dont give a damn what it looks like as long as it meets it's functional criteria.

really, it doesn't even need to light up (idk what gauges don't these days, but just in case) because most of the time at night I'd be out logging pulls anyways and i could just check boost on my laptop.

    Re: boost gauge

when i had my b6 i had a vdo gauge from ecs for 60$ matches perfectly as well. only goes to 25 psi however. heres some pictures, it matches the gauges really well.

    Re: boost gauge

    ok.....

people -- please read the OP.
i appreciate the suggestions, but IT DOESNT HAVE TO MATCH. I DONT GIVE A FLYING FUCK WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!

and it HAS to go above 25psi. 30 is preferable because if it goes to something stupid like 50+ i'll start to lose precision.

    Re: boost gauge

if you want a cheap setup...just buy a boost gauge and get a cheap little metal bracket and mount it in your glove box...and angle it towards the driver when you open the glove box.

I did a couple set ups like this for the 335 guys.... really its just the price of the gauge which you can find on ebay for like 40-50 bucks.

    Re: boost gauge

gracias guys - I think im just gonna get one off newsouth or ebay now that i know which ones have been working for people. I'm probably going to mount it in the ashtray since I usually have someone riding with me when logging/trouble shooting... and most of the time in general.
