OK - I stuck my hand in, cut my arm to shreds but at least twisted it out. My question now is how the f*** do you disconnect the bulb one handed??? I nearly lost my mind doing this and have been cursing Audi all day?? HELP!!!

Hmm if I recall, I believe i read somewhere there's enough slack to pull the bulb out of the bumper area, and change it there... Or, the way I might end up finally doing, dropping the bumper seems to be the easiest way..

OK - I did it!!! Hooray!! But what a shitty job and my arms are killing me.

Some advice for you. It CAN be done, but some other tips:

place duct tape over the top and bottom of the vent to save your arms a little
cover duct tape in vaseline (do not get on rubber gloves)
take out the foglight surround and the black covering
untwist the bulb with one hand, but slot in a screwdriver to help unclip it
hold a maglite in your mouth!

    Good luck!

Re: Fog bulbs on a non S-Line

I applaud you! I tried doing that method a couple of times now and I didn't want to be in the same situation you were in with having the bulb out and not being able to disconnect it. I also was thinking of covering the opening with tape to cut down on the scrapes and scratches. We'll I guess ill try it once more, then if I fail, I'll just end up removing the bumper which will probably give me less grief and injuries.

I see you have PIAA DRL's, have you encountered any over heating issues?

you have an s-line which is easy because the fog light grill pops out. his car was nonsline and the fogs don't pop out.

I'm never going to do it without bumper removal. Seems wayy too much of a hassle.

Re: Fog bulbs on a non S-Line

It isn't that hard at all to get the bumper off, I would just drop the bumper... Yes it can be done by shoving your hand through the grill, but it sounds like a lot of unneeded hassle and frustration.
    Ignorance is bliss.

Give it another go, once you do one the other is much easier. PIAA DRLs are great, no heat issues thus far. It is usually tghe city lights, not the DRLs that cause probs, but mine seem OK so far.
