AA at end of ECU means A right?

sorry guys I have been looking around and cant find anything to really confirm this, if the last 2 digits of the ECU from a B5 S4 is AA it means I need an A style one right? I want to get some more power so I am looking for a used one or going to send mine in if I cant find one

I have not been able to find this anywhere either but what is the difference between A and B anyway?

i HIGHLY doubt you have a A box in a 2002 S4.... if you are LOOKING for a ECU and you have an A box it wont work, you prob need an M box you have a hitachi maf

so how do you know if you have an A or B? my car is a tip does that matter? I looked at the ECU and it has AA at the end but beyond that I am lost :(

2002 6spd - T-Box

2000 tip - B-Box
2001 tip - J-Box
2001.5 tip - L-Box
2002 tip - AA-Box
