Rear deck bose speakers Q

Hey guys, just recently purchased a 99.5 A4 w/ bose-concert and I noticed the bass in the rear speakers are weaksauce. However, when I had my B5 S4 w/ bose the rear speakers were amazing. They hit hard and I didnt even have thoughts of adding a sub. Am I imagining things or are the speakers completely different from the A4/S4. If not, can I just purchase the rear speakers from an S4's bose system? Thanks guys.
Also, I have the Concert radio/newer climate control.
Is there a way to alter the dash so I can run the Symphony radio w/ the new climate control like I had in my S4? If not, I may just go the icelink route.

I'm pretty sure the problem is the fact that you have the concert and not the symphony. The symphony setups sound much better in general, no matter if they're bose or regular. You can convert to the newer style console layout. Some people on here have done it. Do a search. :)

So could I purchase the rear deck lid Bose speakers from a 2000-2002 S4 and they'll hook right up?

for the record bose 'symphony' are the same in both a4's and s4's.

ok so rear speakers from a Bose symphony should work directly in my concert Bose. I can't stand the lack of bass

They would be a direct fit, but you have the same thing now. The speakers are exactly the same. The lack of bass is caused by the inferior concert headunit.

its the headunit that is the problem. you should look at putting in a custom aftermarket screen/headunit. they look pretty cool.

How does that swap work, I have the symphony which is defiantly double din. that concert def looks single din. there doesnt look enough space with though those hvac controls look the same.

So its the head unit and not the speakers. Looks like I'll be upgrading the deck asap

Does the concert head unit have the small amp like the symphony head unit?
