Hose disconnected, oil dripping, what would it cause?

Just got my car back from an indy shop that changed my water pump.

Driving home from work 45mph my foot is on the gas pedal and suddenly it feels as if the brake was just pushed down hard. I'm on a kind of highway so I have to drive another 300ft or so before I can turn off and the car dies. It seemed like some kind of safety shut off.

Got it towed back to the shop but they were closed, and the tow truck driver noticed some oil leaking when we took it off the flat bed.

I looked underneath from the passanger side front and found this:

The hose was connected to the bottom of the radiator.

Hate the fact that I know exactly where the tow hook is:

If it is a matter of just reconnecting the hose, great! My concern is that it could have caused more problems to the engine. Also, where is the underbelly pan?

Don't drive. Looks like your radiator hose. So you car has no coolant anymore. Connect the hose and check the coolant level, you properly need to refill completely.
As for the underbelly pan, it's properly still at the indy shop sitting there as someone forgot it to put back on.
    Good luck.

That is not a coolant hose, it is the part of the DV plumbing... the oil in there is normal. I believe the reason your car shut off is since there was no intake air due to this hose popping off. Hook it back up and give it a try..GL

    Thank you both.

I'm going to hook it back up, but the clamp on there does not look rite, so I think I'll replace it next week as well. On the first picture, is that T a marking for how far the hose should go on?

Yeah that is the line up mark.. I just pushed mine all the way on and tightened the clamp up and that looks to be the same clamp I have on mine from the factory, should be good to go.

Not crucial, for sure. However, it is provided for good reasons. One is to keep dirt./water spray out of the engine bay, another is to reduce wind turbulence/resistance, and also to reduce noise. Additionally, it helps air flow though the engine compartment, via the radiator, intercooler, etc.
