    Possibly Fudged Tranny

So, ever since I got back from my 14.6 run at E-Town a few weeks ago, my drive train has not felt the same. A loud whine developed in 1st gear, and over time I developed a bearly audible crunch after engagements. I believed that the crunch was something loose or not tight in the suspension, so I began checking everything and found that my C end link (lower control arm to sway bar connector) were a little banged up and the bushings didn't look so good. So today I put new ones in and that didn't eliminate the problem.

The crunching currently is very loud, happens under braking at low speeds (35 and below i'd say.) I also hear it when I start moving and also slightly into second gear. Over at the shop we also observed that the wheels make ABS like movements, very jerky and shuddering wheel motion, happens both in reverse and 1st and under braking.

    Mind you:

All control arms have been replaced. (And bolts double checked to be tight)

Engine mounts are not cracked, they're 034 streets with less than a year on them. (bolts tight)

Just put in 034 tranny mounts and differential mount. (Bolts are tight double checked)

All bolts are tight, and the snub mount (also 034) is in one piece not cracked in half (4 months old too).

Axles are tightly fitted as well and the bolts through the wheel bearing into the axle as well.

This leads me to believe that it is definitely not the suspension components making the noise. I have a sneaking suspicious that its my center differential going bad. Any ideas and input is greatly appreciated, I need to figure out what the problem is, its getting louder.

What I am trying tomorrow: Inspection of bolts holding tranny to motor, and flushing transmission fluid to check for metal shavings. Putting in Royal Purple Synchromax.

In the event it is the center differential then Stasis will be getting a phone call from me.

i was going to suggest checking for metal shavings, easiest way to see if there is a lot of damage

Unfortunately my friends split for tonight I don't think ill be able to check it unless I get access to a lift. I mean I can do this on a rhino ramp but feeding the oil into the tranny is a pain in the ass.
