    Question about my boost

    Hey guys....

    I just had a few things fixed on my car..injector leak, small tear on a hose, bad MAF..

    But I can still only SPIKE 17 psi, i can never hold more than 12-13 .. is this normal for 1+ (i assume NO)

    I dont know whats wrong maybe the N75? The mechanic said my rear o2 sensor is going, but thats just a monitoring device, it doesnt affect anything so thats not it

    I cant think of what else could be wrong .. my idle is a BIT rough, its nothing major, u wouldnt even notice it if u didnt listen/look for it

    any ideas?

    sounds like it could be the n75..but that wouldnt cause for a rough idle i dont think.. therefore it might be something else

    Maybe the valve, or a leak. You're about 5psi. under the curve. Do you know anyone with a 1.8T?

    Okay...CEL came on AGAIN + limp mode

    Vag says System too Rich (after apparently running Lean before the MAF was changed?) , and cylinders 3 and 4 misfiring (happend before the MAF was changed also) and im still only SPIKING 17, holding 12-13..

    The car does have a bit of a foul smell sometimes after ripping on it.

    my apr 1+ spikes at like 26-28psi when it's in 4th and 5th gears and levels out around 22psi

    Did you blow coilpacks? How are your plugs? You probably have a leak

    spikes at 28? mine spikes at 20...

    Mine spikes at 21-23psi in 1-3 gears and 26-28 in 4-6 gears. Seems to spike higher in each gear. Though I hold about 19-21 psi, depending again on the gear I am in. 19psi in 1st and 2nd, 20 psi in 3rd and 4th, and 21 psi in 5th and 6th.

    I would take a look at the TIP. My car had a little rough idle and boost was down slightly for a little bit but that changed and the car would stall at idle. My problem was the TIP slipped from the turbo.

    Sounds like it is probably a leak from somewhere, just like some other suggested.

    is it normal for your vacuum to be at -20 and then in warmer months be at -23?

    You're right, it is just a monitoring device, and you're very wrong for thinking that it doesn’t affect anything. That O2 sensor happens to be telling your ECU how efficient your combustion cycle is doing. If it's messed up (which your mechanic has told you it is) it will tell the ECU something that it really shouldn't be doing resulting in your too rich running condition.

    Replace that O2 Sensor.

    Thanks guys. And Gallep.

    Ill be taking it for both the O2 sensors soon, just waiting on the $ to arrive.

    Can I change my plugs? They are due to be changed any moment, but will changing them now, cause them to 'foul' alot sooner with the bad O2 sensor and car running rich?

    The Coils are fine btw, I checked em out.

    Yeah, changing the spark plugs would be a good idea as well.

    Edit: Sorry I didn’t read your last post clearly, yeah hold off until the O2 sensors are replaced, and then change spark plugs
