MAF Question - What do I have?

I have a 2000 S4 and I'm getting ready to upgrade the ECU. I noticed in the service history (optained from the previous owner) that the MAF was replaced in 2005. My question is this: Did Audi use the updated MAF's for all replacements, or do they replace the original with original (e.g. replace Bosch with a new Bosch)?

I have a 2000 as well, you have Bosch. You DONT have the updated one, the update would be the Hitachi which I'm running now since I'm on K04s

you have a remanufactured one....meaning it was probably just cleaned.....
