privat netz (painting & fixing curb rash)

alright well, heres the deal i been away at college for a bit and i let my brother use the car while i am gone. what i have now is a lot of curb rash on my privat netz, the scrapes are pretty bad on some of the rims. i am trying to fix em myself instead of bringing them in to a shop, how would i do this, can anyone give me some instruction how how to fix them?

i also am getting a little sick of my rims, not really feeling them anymore.(picture of the rim is below) i am thinking of painting the middle of the rims a flat black, what kind of paint should i use? i also want to make sure the black paint stays off the chrome so if anyone has any tips on painting these rims i would greatly appreciate it.

There's is another DIY on vwvortex. The a4mods method is great but if your wheels have polished lips the process is going slightly different. After you fill in the rash, the areas need to be polished to match. I'm not sure if you can use the same material either

i just took those wheels to get repaired (previous owner curbed the fuck out of them and cracked one...)

the total came to $400...that includes 1 crack repair, 4 wheel refinishings, and 1 tire

400$ thats pretty cheap considering i dont need a tire, and only like 2 of the tires are fucked up

no you can not use that filler on the curb if the lips are polished and you want to keep them polished. If you use that filler you will have to pain the wheels. What wheel guys do is weld a bead on the lip and sand it down.

they'd be able to fix the curbing and get every imperfection out of the wheels...i'd do it...not too expensive..
