What are the chances Audi makes a 2.0T A5?

This has probrably been discussed here before, but does anyone know or have any "inside information" if Audi plans on releasing a 2.0T 211 hp/ 258 lbs torque A5?

It just makes sense to have a 2.0T, especially with gas prices continuing to go up.

Maybe not at first, but eventually they would give in. I mean they did with the 2.0T TT.

i'm thinking of buying an A5 S-line.. so tought to pick up some ideas here ;)

for the 2.0.. here in europe audi released the 1.8T as smallest engine for the a5, so i don't think they will make a 2.0

if it will be released in the US i have no idea

I've seen the 1.8T in Switzerland too, but I don't think it's FSI.

I'd be interested in the A5 if the 2.0T do come out though

i was talking to a salesman/buddy at prestige imports Ken Swaha and we were talking about the 2.0t a5 it is defenitly going to be coming out in the future probably around the time of the new b8 a4 give him a call to get more information.

Ken's a good guy. Yea I live in Pinecrest, I guess you do too bc Ive seen your car a couple of times in the area as well. You bought the wheels from Leo right?

I truly hope there's gonna be an A5 2.0T. That will be the best car for modding just like what we're doing with the A4 now.

That's a pic of a test mule. It's been around for a long time. And testing in US doesn't always translate to availability in US.

Having said all that, my personal guess is that it's coming, maybe as an MY09 or MY10.

The A5 2.0t WILL be available in the 2009 model year (sometime) in the US. I have no idea about pricing, but it will be the new Valvetronic 2.0 with 211 hp, and yes, it will be quattro.
