AWE Tuning Quad Tip Exhaust

We're planning on finally getting around to prototyping our quad tip exhaust for quattro cars next week. Production systems will be ready a few weeks after that.

This system will require the use of a B7 S4 rear valence insert.

The tips will be the same orientation and style as our B7 S4 exhaust:






We also plan on offering a diamond black tip option if there is demand. Here is a sample picture from the Porsche Cayman tips we offer:





Approximate pricing on this system with silver tips will be:

~$1095.95

Approximate pricing with the diamond black chrome tips will be:

~$1195.95

B7 S4 rear valence is ~$110 ea.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer just the rear section alone for current owners of our single tip system.

This might be an obvious question and answer, but does your last statement mean that you will not offer just the black diamond tips to customers with the current single tipped exhaust?

The quad tip exhaust will use different mufflers than our single tip system, so it really is a whole new design not just new tips.

I wish we could have just added quad tips to our existing mufflers, but there is not enough room between the back of the muffler and the bumper outlet to make the transition from single outlet to dual tip.

to the black tips. I will definitely be purchasing this exhaust system after I get some new black wheels, drop it, and black out my trim. Is the exhaust going to sound any different from what the dual tips currently sound like? I am definitely a fan of the current sound, I listen to the video clip on the AWE website every night before I go to bed. JK, but I do listen to it a lot... haha

Offering the black tips would be a smart marketing decision. It would be just enought to sway me if I was on the fence..... and had the right colored car to make it work.

Sorry to sound like a noob but what's the significant performance advantage of having a Quad tip over the dual? Is it just for looks and sound?

and if awe uses the same mufflers from the single tip system, sound/tone would most likely be very similar, if not, the same i'd guess.

For a 4 cyclinder engine the quad tip is for looks. You will probably just be using one of the four for actual exhaust hahahaha. Still damn cool although very disappointed that you would make in such a way that you couldn't switch out the end pieces. Or is this more of a marketing money making decision??

i am drooling too. the black tips look great, especially since my stock tips are black already from daily use. too bad theyre an extra hundred bucks. is there any way you car run this system without the s4 valence? i mean the part isnt expensive but then you gotta get it painted and mounted.......

I don;t think mounting it would be any different from the A4 valence. someone correct me if i;m wrong but it should work just fine!

You don't have to paint the valence, it's already colored. It's plastic, black on the A4 and a kind of greyish silver on the S4. You could cut a wider space out of your A4 valence, but that might not turn out so well. It's all about making enough room for the tips!

You don't have to paint the valence, it's already colored. It's plastic, black on the A4 and a kind of greyish silver on the S4. You could cut a wider space out of your A4 valence, but that might not turn out so well. It's all about making enough room for the tips!

youre right. you dont HAVE to paint it, but it looks CHEAP unpainted. my s-line has it painted so i wouldnt take a step down. if i cut my stock valence it would still need to be touched up with paint. :(

spend the $110 and get the right valence! find someone that will paint it for $50 and you are set.

Will the B7 DTM bumper have enought clearence to fit the AWE quad pipe?

Not sure if the S4 valence can fit DTM bumper.
