Weird sound started today, help!

Well I just searched and found this thread that explains the noise to a tee.

I started driving today and noticed this exact noise. Sounds like its coming from the exhaust near the downpipe/cat area. Not sure when Ill be able to look at it as Im going out of town this weekend but any insight would be great. All of my mods are in my sig and have had the APR1+ for over 2000 miles with no issues. Has anyone had this problem?

Oh and I seem to be holding boost as I usually do, so my guess is it is after the turbo.

sounds like you blew a gasket somewhere and you're just hearing it when the engine is moving more exhaust gases than usual. check for exhaust leaks.

Is it common to blow the gasket in between the cat and downpipe? That seems to be where its coming from.

has the exhaust been taken off for any reason recently? if it wasn't tightened up properly you could have blown out the gasket. another possibility is that the bolts backed out from vibration - leading to the same outcome.
