heres the valve cover gasket install. i swapped out my valve cover for a powder coated one and got to test fit the new carbon fiber coil cover by DTH.

Also, although Bentley says to put RTV in four spots, people have said that there are six spots to put the RTV in......? Any idea?

you just put it wherever there is a crease in the metal, its not that hard

personally, i trust the bentley... after all, it IS the service manual

I put it in the 4 spots shown, and don't have any oil leaking.

so this valve cover discussion provoked me to change mine this weekend while i tackle the coolant flange but i cant find any of the reinzosil stuff or the ge rtv stuff but i found permatex ultra copper rtv....its high temp to like 700 degrees and says its made for 4 cylinder turbo apps...think it will work???
