Vorsteiner Hood, but without center scoop.

I would really like a nice carbon hood for my RS but I would never spend over 2k let alone 6k for the MTM. I think Vorsteiner makes some nice products but they ruined their Audi hood with the center scoop. Do you think if we can get a group together they could make a special hood with just the parallel side vents? I would love the look of that on my car and I think some other people on here would too.

It is ok, but would be better either without the center scoop, or with a bigger center scoop and no side scoops

I would get it sans center. I also agree the center scoop is a little much. I do like the look of the hood, but with center it is a little too aggressive.

that would be awesome! The scoop is too "tuner" for me. I like the side vents tho. I would also like it to be functional. Isn't the scoop to bring air inside for the intake? If so, then, it's way off.

i cant find any audi products on their website...

can someone post some pics of this hood? maybe then more people will know what it looks like and also decide to join the "sans center scoop" bandwagon

    P-chop w/o center vent:

However, I really like the center vent now. I was a little unsure at first, but I quickly got used to it. I love it now. I like that it looks a little more aggressive. Sorry, I don't have any pics of mine yet. Haven't had the chance to snap any good pics yet since I installed it. And the car is too dirty right now to do it.

Looking at the pics now I also think the side vents are too thin, sorry this is turning into a vorsteiner hood criticism thread, my bad.

Re: Vorsteiner Hood, but without center scoop.

^^ hah. the side scoops are too thin only becasue they left room for themiddle hoop + spacing. If they delete hte middle scoop in the redesign they would likely have to widen teh side scops too

Re: Vorsteiner Hood, but without center scoop.

My friend has the GMG hood and theres no point getting a CF hood if your going to paint it and it is identical to stock. Also the quality is terrible looks like a carbon sticker and its extremely flexible, not cool. Vorsteiner has nice quality and MTM has great quality but the price is too ridiculous.
