What would you purchase as a daily driver?

335i/xi would be the best choice here but rumble sound of V8/V10 are always nice.

The price difference would be an issue. If you have the money, go for the M3. Otherwise the 335 is plenty fast and less expensive. I would only consider a used M5 if you need the backseat space. A new car is always better.

c63 is best normal performance there, unless you're tearing through canyons all the time.

I've decided to put my deposit in for E92 M3 with M-DCT and fully loaded today. I would have had to wait for 4 months if I order now but my CA worked really hard to get me a car faster that is exactly what I wanted. So, I will be lucky to have my car in a month!!

You can stage II that sucker from Vishnu or Dinan and be as fast as the new M3 and save some significant cash. There's a race on Youtube you can lookup between a chipped 335i and the new e92 M3. It's very eye opening. From what I saw, the M3 only started to suck up that chipped 335i after 130 mph.

Yes. It will be faster. However, I will not have the joy of hearing the V8 rumble as well as worrying about my warranty flyaway. BMWNA is cracking down and in E90post threads, people are starting to get in troubles as well as getting worried about their mods and thinking about removing their chips.
Perhaps its because of the new 'tii' series that they want to protect.

idk about bmw tuners but i know in the vag world the dealerships cant do shit about a software overwrite on the ecu. i bring my giac chipped vw in all the time and they know its chipped but cant prove it on paper.

This is why. I don't want to worry about warrnty works anymore. Call me whatever you want but it's my car and I don't want to worry about this. I didn't mod my car that much but it was scary enough to take it to the dealer. Also, the reason that I'm not buying an RS4 is because I want something different. Dealers around my area, as I have said in the other thread, suck really badly so I have made my mind not to buy another Audi until they change something.

still not an M3 by any means, you would have to change almost everything on a 335i To make it up to par with an M3, not just chip it and slam some exhaust on it.

you dont, he has never felt the raw power of that car, theres a reason they made it a V8 and not a TTV6(335i), and besides a TT'd V8 wouldnt be that fast or anything..

btw congrats on your order, that car will blow your mind, and will definently do more for you than an RS4 would, I've driven both and I have to say..the M3 is just phenomenal.

This funny because the first time you have a major problem and VW says no to your repair, make sure you tell them they can't prove it. They could easily prove it they choose to look past it, for now. Every flash changes the factory settings, all they really need to do is to look at several parameters in two different ECU's and they will notice the difference.
