    Audi Maintenance Program

I just bought an '08 A4 w/ 4500miles. The previous owner bought the maintenance plan. This sticks with the vehicle right? I know some dealers will try to wiggle out of it if possible.

The Audicare is not transferable to a new owner or lessee.

Looks like you're right IceMole. Google got me this tidbit.

    • The Audi Care Plan is non-transferable to subsequent vehicles purchased by the same owner. The remaining coverage stays with the vehicle. No transfer fees are applied to the new vehicle owner.

    Thanks!

    Re: Audi Maintenance Program

I discussed this with Audi USA a couple of weeks ago. They informed me it does stay with the vehicle. Also you are able to purchase the Audi Care anytime during the 4/50,000 as before you could only purchase it the first 12 months or 12,000 miles. The price also went up from $590.00 to $650.00.

So does the maintanence plan remain with the driver or the vehicle?? I purchased an 06' that had the maintanence plan in the glove compartment, except the coupons were for a houston tx dealership (i live in nc)....has anyone tried to use these? thanks

    Re: Audi Maintenance Program

It stays with the car, my 04.5 was just in last week for 45k and I'm second owner. Just call your dealer and make an apointment, if it's the first time you've ever been there they will need your info and vin. While you're there ask them to print the history of the car so you know what was done to it.

That is what Audi USA told me. They just recently changed their policy. They said if the dealership gives you a hard time have them call Audi USA. Going to pick mine up pretty soon. It's been past a year as of 5 days ago.

Sorry for the thread jack, but what exactly does the Audicare cover? I was in a rush to get to work when I was dropping my A3 off this morning?

I believe it covers the 15k, 25k, 35k and 45k services. I would have to check my paperwork for the specifics of the plan.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. What work is done on the car at these intervals? Oil and filter changes? Or is there more that is covered? I know brakes are not.

The plan covers all routine maintenance (oil changes, fluid flushes as well as the 15, 25, 35 and 45k minor maintenance services). The plan stays with the car until 4 years or 50,000 miles (whichever comes first).

Cool, thanks. I'm just trying to decide if it would be cheaper to just change the oil myself or take it to my friends shop and have them do the service if it's nothing beyond oli changes.

Correction my friend, if you buy Audi Care it only covers maintenance intervals listed in the Scheduled maintenance book (15k, 25k, 35k and 45k) regardless of time. The only thing that expires at 4yrs/50k miles is the warranty.

You also have the option to buy the 65k and 75k scheduled maintenance for 750 at anytime for CPO's.

audicare covers the major maintenance services that come AFTER your 50k warranty expires, at 55k, 65k, and 75k there are some pretty expensive tuneups and audicare is about 600 bucks whereas one of those alone costs 1200 so its well worth it (all numbers were estimates because I can remember exact figures)

The Audicare package covers all ROUTINE maintenance. I just had my A4 in for its 1st service a few weeks ago and it covered my oil change.

That's cool because I was worried about the time and not the mileage because I've only got 3,400 miles (bought in Oct. 2007). Seems like I can enjoy keeping the miles low and not lose out on what I'd paid for - even beyond 4 years???

My a4 is at 50,000 and when i start it, it gives me a quick service light before going off. I see the schedule is at 55k not 50k? Do you guys know why that light comes on? and also what do they do in the 55k service?

Sorry to semi thread jack, but didn't all the '06's come with the Audi Maintenance Program, covering you up until the 45K mile maintenance. I have an '06 and I'm coming up on my 35K one...

    Re: Audi Maintenance Program

we are talking about audicare, not audi maintenance at this point in the thread, which is the maintenance program past factory warranty (55k, 65k, 75k)
