lol, that might be a stretch.

i checked out g-pop shop, but they dont offer the high performance rebuild for the ko4, i dont even know if the standard rebuild would cover everything i need to get it working again.

    Re: Rebuilding a blown k04

i dont even know how much i can get the blown one for, it would have to be dirt cheap for me to want it and then rebuild it...just curious what my options are.

well at that price unless I get the turbo for $100 i might as well buy a new one.

the standard rebuild kit will be sufficient for rebuilding to stock spec? any chance it can be done by me?

    i think you mean 260whp

usually the seals on the turbo go, there can also be compressor and blade damage

    Re: Rebuilding a blown k04

    lol @ 260whp.

like i mentioned above, the standard rebuild includes no hard parts, so i guess it all depends on whats wrong with the old turbo.

the high performance rebuild includes all said parts, but apparently according to the g-pop shop site they dont offer it for the k04

I would call G-Pop Shop. I've talked to them they do high performance K04 rebuilds.

AudiRacerS4 260whp? Who told you that? Try 260chp. 180-200whp if your lucky.

    I believe AudiRacerS4 made 217whp on a gpopshop K04, p&p and boost controller @ 26psi.

    Re: Rebuilding a blown k04

i would just go BT a k04 just isnt worth it you'll spend the money on the rebuild and will want more power in a couple of month's sleep on it for a couple nights then make the decision!!
