Anyone use Arco/Sams Club/Costco gas?

I've avoided Arco like the plague for years now, but recently someone told me it's actually not bad. Gas prices being what they are, would you go there since it's consistently cheaper than Mobile or Chevron?

What about Sam's Club or Costco?

just BP or mobil. nothing else. don't care what gas prices are.
my uncle works for the EPA here in IL. and i had a friend who
was informing me on different brands of gas. i'll stick with BP/mobil.

My other cars I am ok with Costco/etc., but the Audi gets Chevron or Shell. That's it. I treat it better than everything else!

+1 Shell, Sunoco if I really need gas cause it's near my house.

There was a thread about Costco gas a few weeks back. Concensus was that we should only use top tier gas.

at my costco the gas they have is from bp so im happy plus i like their gas its very very clean and they change the filters very very often

i put gas at my own 7-11 because i know the driver that puts gas in the tanks and he told me that he gives the same gas to shell and chevron but arco has there own gas. but my second option is costco.

I use costco/sams but I also rotate with chevron.

I don't use one particular brand all the time, just always 93 octane, but have used Costco with no issues that I can tell.

costco is fine, thats what i try to use all the time.

rebel isnt bad either. i use it when im not close to costco

and arco is a part of bp, so it should be good also

Chevron only. I don't think costco is in the "top-tier" gasolines that are recommended for our cars.

Are there any Chevron's in the Northeast? I use Shell, but have seen those Chevron w/ Techron commercials. I can't seem to locate any Chevrons in the NJ/PA area...

I was always told that all baseline gas is the same except for the proprietary additive packages each company puts into theirs. Oil companies don't take the product end to end. The barrel of crude from the well of company X then goes to the refinery of company X then to the gas station of company X, each step under the supervision of company X is not what happens. So shop for gas based on the additive package.

Gas is kind of like milk... Sure, the company doesn't see it end to end, but every milk producer has different processes for pasturizing and refining milk, as well as the different vitamins and minerals they add to their product. Some companies strive for a very low level of blood and puss (yes, this is in your milk), some companies just want to be below FDA minimums...

It still matters where you get your gas because they are all refined differently.

Yeah, it may just be us, but I feel it too.

When I put a tank of Costco gas (since it's a bit cheaper) the car felt slower on climbing RPMs, but it could just be the added weight. But I just put in Shell V-Power (93) and it doesn't feel as sluggish.

My car has a decal that says "Use only Shell V-Power 93 octane" on the inside of the gas door. Ok , well I did put it there but still.....

I only use Chevron or V-Power. Before my A4 was chipped I noticed it ran better and fuel economy was better with thoose two brands. If I had an S4 I would definitely use top-tier fuel, but that's just me.
