First , I need to Modify my ATP mani , cut out the ext w/g area , weld an elbow and flange for an ext. w/g

To do all that , is going to take time and money , but how much money do you guys think?

After that is handled, what do I do w/ the exhaust situation? Cant run dumps on this turbo bc of the need for backpressure

Like an idiot, I thought this turbo had a v band outlet and would mate right up to my exhuast

The only option i have on that front is to buy the guys custom downpipe

But how would that mate into my milltek? The ends are just cut off..... , Id need another extender/custom piece aka more BS


So , I figure its going to cost

$200 Tial W/G
$100 Atp modification including elbow and flange
$$$$ Downpipe
$$$$ Fabricate downpipe into milltek....

Or maybe SPA manifold? $400????

honestly for 30-40whp I dont think its worth it and i might just Sell it , Unless you think I shouldnt?

as far as the downpipe issue, just get what looks to be a 2.5" 4 bolt > 3" vband adapter. i have one sitting in my floor @ my house.

yeah just get a vband adapter, it should set you up pretty close. if its a t25 hot side everything should bolt up like the 28rs

I would buy the new manifold and sell the atp one.
it would rule out alot of variable as far as leaks and reliability. (atleast for a piece of mind)
Have an exhaust shop make a dowpipe, but limping the car there would be the hard part.

I say buy the new mani. it's going to be so much less trouble. after a mani is cut and welded, it's never the same. my mani cracked right on a weld so I had it re-welded and it looked like it was ready to crack again. Any good exhaust shop should be able to mate all those pieces together. Maybe they can even make you a nice DP as well. it won't be cheap but I think it's better to do it right.

For use with external wastegates. You pick the A/R that best suits your needs. (pick from above) It has a 60-1 compressor wheel with a large T04S style Housing (4.00" inlet & 2.50" outlet) A fast spooling turbo with very strong power capabilities. Great drag racing turbo for smaller displacement engines.

yes, something like that cobra hose. depends where the mani locates the turbo but you can count on it being a tiiiight fit. With my t3t4, I should have used one but I'm cheap/ghetto so I decided to mod the headlight to squeeze the regular hose in.

Wow, premier???? back home in the Wash DC area, premier was basically semi-pro (A step below A-league or PDL/USL. Next step is MLS) Some players got paid, some (me) didn't. I benched for the most part but got free gear . Anywho, It's my favorite sport, been playing since I was about 6. Pipo is a cold-blooded scorer...so lethal. Are are you sure its a GT3071r? Because the 3071r doesn't come with a .70 a/r compressor housing, it comes with a .50 a/r. This is most likely why Ian asked if it was a 60-1 since it has the .70 a/r housing and the blades look so small in that 4" inlet. The T3/60-1 I posted above looks exactly like it and also comes as a Ball Bearing setup as water/oil cooled.


The GT3082 uses the .70 a/r housing since that turbo has a 40 compressor wheel. The GT25/40 also uses it but if it has a T3 flange that turbo is ruled out.

t25 gt3071r didn't come with a 4bolt discharge and i think all of them came with internal wastegates. and then i saw it as a .70 compressor ar. I think you are right

well you can pretty much get any cover you want when you get a big enough turbo. you just have to ask for it and cough up a few extra dollars.

i was looking in to a 60 trim w/ an s cover. clay was going to give me a smoking deal on it.

no. someone just requested a 3071 w/ an s cover. its just a weird combo, thats all. why not just get a 3076 w/ a ported cover? that way you still have 4" inlet but 2" outlet. instead of the 2.5" that s cover has. and of course the 5mm larger exducer.

yea. i paid $60 plus like 2 day air or maybe overnight air. back in the day when i bought the 2.5" > vband. check yours though. i cant tell its if 2.5" or 3" from the pic. it may be the t31 flange.

No he said that it has a 3071r CHRA which is the 700177 number. Problem is that your turbo is a hybrid and you cant find specs on hybrid turbos. I cant even find the part #'s for the 60-1. Even the GT25/40 can be ordered with a T3 exhaust housing, you can find that on ATP. Only way you are going to know what you have is to measure the compressor wheel.

you need to measure w/ a caliper.
