Pretty sure the stock rubber are the 235/45/R17 Continentals. At least my 06 came with Connies. I dont think they're covered. Call a dealer and ask.

Re: what brand tires did come with 06?

    Yeah they are COnti, Pro-contact

And they aren't covered i had a bubble one of mine and my dealer pretty much said SOL. So i called around and found 1 tire that matched the rest cuz i knew i was getting new ones with my wheels. so i got one and drove for a few weeks and now i have my new ones.

You can search on conti's web site for dealers of their tires in your state and try them. Discount tire was no help to me either. Get 4 new ones!

I think you're better off with different tires. Despite some good reviews on tire rack, they're junk IMO. My OE Procontacts had impact bulges as well - replaced them with Goodyear F1's.

Re: what brand tires did come with 06?

i got pirellis and they have warrenty. I called pirellis dealer and he said that 9 out of 10 times they are not covered bc suposebly they most are coused by the impact to the tire and they would have to expect it first. WTf????? is there even a point of me going there?

well if they can do it with you there yes! otherwise you will be out a tire for a long A$$ time. and you can't really drive on 3 tires. so pony up the bucks and buy some new tires!

Check your Spare Tire! that tire should be untouched! Mine were Connti's. 06 non-s-line A4. When i looked at my spare it still had the stickers from the Factory on it!

235/45/17 ContiPro Contact's. I had flat spots in all my tires. I gave up after I complained and only got two replaced. I went to ContiSport Contact 2's on 18's not even three weeks after I got the car. They sucked ass too. BFG's about 5 mos. later.
Papachristou: i just said "yeah well you are still driving a neon, and she still wants to ride in my car"

I got that tire as well, but, those come on the S-line cars as standard.
There was an optional wheel/tire pkg too.

BTW, the tires DO have a warranty. The tire manufacturer still honors their full warranty to the tires on you new car.
If you have a tire problem, go to a tire dealer that sells that brand and ask for warranty service.

Bubbles on sidewalls are not to my liking. I once had a Mits (brand new) that developed bubbles in the sidewall (Goodyear tires). I had a phone conversation with Goodyear. They didn't want to cover the cost of new tires. However, after explaining how a sidewall blowout could lead to an accident and death, and they now know of the bubbles in the sidewall, I explained that I'll drive on the tires, but if an accident occurs this issue will come back up as it is NOT safe. They finally agreed to free tires and a 50% discount on the other 2 tires that had not developed bubbles.
However, after 12k miles, the tires would be very uneven if I only had 2 new tires. I got 2 free and 2 for 50% off.

Work with the tire dealer and the tire maker for your new car tire warranty.
