S4 Rear Valance Removal

I have a 25th Anniversary S4 with DTM style bumpers. I tried to remove the rear valance following the instructions for standard S4 bumpers (unscrew 2 star fasteners from below and pull backwards to release the clips).

I pulled reasonably firmly to the point where I was uncomfortable pulling any harder (from both ends as well as center). Looking at the ends of the valance, it doesn't appear to be clipped to the bumper. Does anyone know if the entire bumper has to be removed for DTM/25th anniversary style? If so, is there a good source for instructions?

The dtm rear bumper is only one piece. The valence is not removable.

How big a job is it to remove the bumper?

I am looking to fabricate a bike rack and it looks like the aluminum structure under the bumper is the place to bolt into.

ya, someone asked a while ago, the DTM valence is part of hte bumper. as far as rear bumper removal? DIY guys? I dunno, mostly I think in the rear people take it to the shop..

i ran into the same problem.. the rear diffuser and bumber are all one piece...at least thats how my 08 dtm is.
