Yeah, people really don't care about anything but what belongs to them. I took my car to get an estimate on the front bumper to get some rock chips taken out (Thanks to a dump truck not securing it's load properly). The estimate guy founds about 2 door dings that I didn't see, one on each side. I also have a scratch on my passanger QP that needs to be taken care of and a scratch on one of my mirrors...All in all will cost over 2g's to fix, with all paint and labor included.

The other day when parking my Jetta GLS on the street for a mere 20 minutes, a Honda Oddesey jammed it's front license plate bolts into my rear bumper leaving to nice round white gashes. They had plenty of room to park and didn't have to even come close to my car, but they were careless and in a hurry to get home and watch tv. Needless to say I was also careless and keyed every single panel on the Oddesey. I circleld the mini van and dug my sharpest key into every metal panel metal gouging down the sheet metal. If it were darker out I would have carved note into their hood.

I hate IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry bout your car. I had that same damage on my bumper (same exact spot too) after someone in an Escalade with parking assist backed into me. Cost him $650 from a body shop recommended by my Audi dealership. It came out looking great and I ended up with the blacked out grille from ECS. Your hood is something else though. That might cost more $$$$$$$$ GOOD LUCK

I have the same exact damage on mine. I wasn't too concerned cause my hood damage showed no paint cracks and is a bit lesser degree than yours. I replaced my grille with the blackout one from ECS. The crease is really hard to notice, so I never got it fixed. Fucking idiots and their trailer balls.

Don't you have insurance?

That would be covered under your "comprehensive" or "collision" depending on how your insurance wants to cover it since it was a hit and run.
Either way, you pay your deductible and you have the damage repaired.
How much will it cost? It will cost you the deductible you have, and that's it.

If you make a lot of claims the insurance company can choose to raise your premium. However, if you don't make many claims or very high cost claims, the premium shouldn't go up.
If it does, then only the portion of your insurance that covered the claim will go up. For example: if the damage is covered under "comprehensive", then that portion of your insurance may go up. If it's under "uninsured", then that's the portion that can go up.

I'd try to get it covered under "non-insured" if you can, cause it's the typically the lowest cost portion of insurance, and since they "hit" and "ran" it implies they probably don't have insurance.
Good luck with that argument though.

You suck.

As tempting as it is to do something like that, the point is the vehicle was there. So, you could have called the police and filed a claim and got your relatively MINOR damage fixed. Instead, you decided to create thousands of dollars of damage because YOU decided they had enough room.
It's very possible that it was an accident, and since the vehicle was there you should have called the police. Or were you in a hurry to watch some TV so it was ok to cause extensive damage?

I've had my '06 for a total of 3 weeks and some idiot door jammed my driver side rear door at work. Then they proceeded to try to rub the mark away with their fingers making it worse. Lucky there is a security camera and I was able to see the make/model, color of the vehicle so it's "game on" when I find them
