Plastic Squeeking for anyone else?

is it just me, or is the plastic squeek/crackling noise coming from the center arm rest console driving anyone else insane?

IN my car, it looks like the two little teeth on either side of the clip itself broke off and it started to make the noise. My friend just had his replaced under warranty. I gotta call the dealership and whine about mine

It may be coming from the cup holder. Does it happen when you have a drink in the car? My cupholder was squeaking the other day when I drink in there...Hasn't done it since, but it was very annoying.

nope - no drinks or food in my ride.

when i drive with my elbow on the arm rest....and even without, but not as bad.

the clip that holds the lid of the armrest down. It is supposed to have two tiny pieces of plastic on there to stabilize it when it is locked down. They are flimsy and broke off on mine. I found the little pieces after I noticed the sound. Try and open the armrest lid and look next to the closure mechanism.

I get the noise cause my fat ss makes the seat belt thing rub against it ... oh well

my centre console around the cup holder area squeaks/rattles a bit when its cold weather & over poorly surfaced roads

Not only the armrest, but also the driver side door panel and the trunk.

Same here. Trunk, arm rest, instrument cluster/windshield interface and diver's door and passenger doors. It is very F-ing annoying. Curious as to if there is any way to make the car more "silent".

Looks like Audi's don't like cold weather since most of you Guys are from Canada or cold areas
Mine, located in South Florida, is quite like a sleeping baby and with 100 000 miles on the clock....and on Coils too
