How would/does gunmetal look on Dolphin Gray?

Curious to see if anyone has the gunmetal wheels / dolphin gray combo. I'm not sure if there's enough contrast to make it look nice... anyone with pics or opinions?

I think that looks sick, but it could be the wheels that make it too. RS4 wheels may be on it's way out to some, but thats just good news for me... pick up a used set for less $$! I think gunmetal on dolphin grey is a perfect match. Like black wheels on a black car, those two go together for aggressive.

Can u get your current wheels powder coated somewhere locally? Then you can get whatever color u want. VMR sent mine out to be powder coated satin black for $120 a wheel.

How's the power coat holding up? I need to get my wheels refinished or put to the side as winter wheels. After 2 sets of tires and over a year of driving, the paint is starting to show its age.

They are still very very new. Less than a month old. Who coated yours? Did VMR have them done? If they did, I sure hope that doesn't happen to mine. Do harsh winters really tear them up? I live in Florida so our winters are like heaven on our cars.

I love the snow, but would hate to have my car in it. I saw an S5 driving in Keystone, CO this past season. The poor baby. I felt bad for it. The LED's in the front looked sick though!

It's the original gunmetal paint that came on the wheels from VMR. The people at the tire shop didn't take much care when replacing my tires and the paint chipped in a few places on the lip, in the lug holes and there are some rock chips here and there. It's just everyday driving that jacks them up.

Well dirty or not they are phat as hell. Do you know of a website that sells these? Would love to know the cost on 18x8.5. Also, direct fit or did you need any hub rings?

You need hubrings but they CLEAR our brakes by 2 mm and fit fabulously under our fenders.

Nice, thanks. I have been looking for a black rim with chrome/silver lip for my brilliant black. I not too crazy about the hub rings though. I think it may come down to these rims and possibly the TSW snettertons.
