    Uhh new prolem HELP

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guys, today i was going home from school and when the red light turned green i decided it would be nice to go alittle WOT from first to second, but when i switched to second and the gear engaged after a second the car kinda felt like it lost all power and tossed me forward like somebody just slammed on the breaks then it got back to normal. Does anybody know what may have caused this?

    Thanks

Possibly hit limp mode from overboosting.

    Re: Uhh new prolem HELP

Check your DV, if it sticks open it can do that.
My ghetto ass repair for my boost leak(DV->TIP after relocating the DV) did a similar thing. Key part though was my ghetto repair I've yet to finish.
Otherwise, unless your MIL/CEL came on there's no record of what happened. Unless it does it again, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

    Re: Uhh new prolem HELP

Hey thanks for all the replys just to answer everyones questions. the car did not stutter before i got back to normal it just tossed me forward. My DV is a forge 007 so would that sticking open problem still happen? I dont think it was limp mode because i got all my power it just happen for that split moment. I have a 2000 which means i dont have traction control so it cant be the traction control.

    Re: Uhh new prolem HELP

If the DV is serviceable then yes it can. I don't have a 007 valve, even though I should. So I'm not 100% on that one. If you can pull it apart like I can mine, take some synthetic lube and lube up the o-rings & valve.
It's worth a look, and if that's all it needs you're out 15 mins max.

    - Just looked at the 007 pics, I don't know for sure, but it looks like the top piece that the vacuum line goes to can screw off. Not sure though, if you still have the box and stuff for it, I'd check in there first. Or somebody that has one.

Before you tear into it though, try and duplicate the problem. If it won't do it again, then like I said, I wouldn't lose sleep over it.
