is a compresser intake hose the same as a turbo inlet hose?
also whats the difference between the $159 and $189. it says tt225 but what is that?

Since you have an 05 your going to need to run a "t" in one of the nipples and it's a bitch. The tt225 is for the Audi TT with 225hp and this will not fit your car. Many people will say get a neuspeed but you have bixenon headlights and that makes it even harder to fit. Get a forge.

The TIP for the 05 is definately not a swap for the stock. My problem was not the T fitting, but one of the hoses needs a 90 degree elbow and about a 45 degree hose to make it work for a 04-05. I ended up getting refunded because the product didn't work like they wanted it to.
I am going to try some things to get it fitted on the car this weekend. Then I am going to email APR with some pics of what I did.

I would recommend a Forge or NS if you don't want to hassle with getting it to fit.

04's and 05's have an extra nipple compared to the 02's and 03's.

Also there is one of the pipes that comes out of the engine stops earlier and the hose starts sooner. The difference is that instead of entering the TIP at a 90 degree angle pre 04 it enters the TIP at a 45 degree angle. So you need to buy extra hoses and fittings to make it work.

After work I am headed to Home Depot for a 90 degree fitting to fit on a 45 degree hose I got from my local performance shop. Hope it works because I can tell you there is NO WAY it will fit without modification.

So tonight I added a 90 degree fitting with about hose that had a built in 45 degree bend. Things fit great!!! Now I will just have to see if it falls off.

FYI: If you are going to install a TIP make sure you take off the headlight, as it makes everything a lot easier for the install.

A different vehicle Audi has produced. Called the "TT".

The 225 refers to the 225hp model. It is a 1.8T with the K04 turbo package and upgraded internals on the engine to net 225chp.

The orientation of the engine in this vehicle is transverse (side to side). The orientation of the engine in the B6 A4 is longitudinal (front to back). The turbo and airbox are located in two different areas on both vehicles. Hence the turbo inlet hose from a TT225 does not fit on a B6 A4.

An intake hose and a turbo inlet pipe are two entirely different items. The turbo inlet pipe (TIP) deals with the hose that connects the air box to the turbo (and other vacuum lines). The intake hose is on the other side of the engine that goes between the driver's side mounted intercooler and the intake manifold / throttle body.
