thinking of a lotto drawing for my s4 ...

what do you guys think? I would sell 260 tickets at $100 a ticket first place would get my car audi s4 stg3 2nd place would get $3k 3rd $2k. what would be a safe way of doing this maybe with a third party company i think it's a pretty good idea 1 in 260 chance to get an audi s4 worth 20k. this way i would get what my car is worth and someone will get an audi s4 for $100 opinions please! and please I'm serious so good ideas welcome.

no I wouldn't do the drawing because my car is worth more than that. and yes what ever way I do this drawing with a legal third party company. people would get their money back, hey maybe a company like vast or jhm or someone else could hold the money.

I saw a Porsche tuner company Powehaus do the same thing for a car they built. i would contact Vast and see if they would be willing to do the drawing and collect the money for a small fee. The other company even let you buy tickets on their website with a deadline posted once the mimimum tickets needed where purchased.

thanks I'm not looking to make a lot of money here I just want what my car is worth and I know the market is not so good right now so I thought this would be a great way for me to get what I want and someone to get lucky anyway, for the other idea of a moderator , it might work out but I dont know any moderators and I want this to be safe for everyone. that's why I think a company that is well known would be great.

I hope they don't take it for granted, I was thinking of only making this available to AZ members and audi enthusiast from this performance shop. what do you think? not anyone from the street. I would hope it goes to a person who would enjoy and value the car. preferably an enthusiast.

So this shop and you should be very careful and even video tape the drawing to ease peoples minds. Showing all the tickets and even the drawing and announce the name. A live webcast would be even better but obviously costs money. I don't think anyone would care how sloppy the video footage was or how unscripted anything was. They would just want to see that their $100 is protected and they are being treated fairly. Oh and of course you need a hot chick in a Bikini to do the drawing.

Nobody needs a group of people getting together calling foul if they feel a fix is in. That shop probably wouldn't want all that headache for something that is supposed to be fun.

thank you for your input, and I would want a live web cam or something like that for the drawing (I think that is a great idea) also I was reading up an raffle laws for florida and they are pretty tight but I think it's possible. I don't want this to turn in to a headache for anyone I just want someone to get lucky and me to get what my car is worth.

I think I want it to be fun and not hurt someone financially when someone doesn't win. I think it should be limited so it's about luck. also i don't want no one spending $5k and then not win to come to my door all pissed off. I don't need crazy gamblers just people who can spend $100 where it doesn't hurt financially and have a 1 in 260 chance of winning a car.

thanks every one for the interest, I am trying to put together something where it will be safe for every one and fair. I will keep everyone updated with details maybe tomorow after my meeting. i been reading a lot about raffle laws and I think I'm going to have to do an event like a barbeque or something like that and charge to enter then you would get a number and you'll be in the drawing again I will only sell a limited number of tickets. also I'm trying to think of ways for those that wouldn't be able to come because they are out of state. when to start taking emails and phone calls etc... anyway it a lot of work making this a legal thing but It can work. tomorow I will give more details.
