OK so after my usual 30 mile drive to school this morning on the lovely merrit parkway i get off and as im parking my car at idle i open the door just to get my bag out and let it sit for a min, ANWAYS, i hear this annoying high pitch sound, i was like hmm... i couldnt even tell if it was from my car or something else like a machine around me or something, so i go to the front and i couldnt hear it, just normal engine sounds, go to exhaust, nothing, well cant hear much anyways when near my exhaust , i only heard it righttt in the middle of my car! so i turned it off, turn back on, NOT there.... any idea what that could of been ?

and i should add, it was a very faint sound, not like dentist drill or anything like that haha. it was barely there but noticable. it actually at first went away when i tapped the exhaust. do you think it could be an exhaust leak? i just dont know where a leak would come from down there my exhaust is all welded up with test pipes where the cats were ?

An exhaust leak is a raspy type of air noise. What you heard might have been the fuel pump suck up some sort of debris and struggle for a minute, causing it to whine.
