    Armrest rattle!

    Hi all!
    Am I the only one to have my armrest rattle?
    Anybody found a fix for this? I did search but found nothig.

    theres a series of bolts under the console that you probably need to tighten. I would suggest using threadlock so they dont come loose again.

    there is actually only one bolt that hold the armrest in. If this bolt is loose, you will no doubt need to take the rear ashtray and maybe the central lock button out to tighten it. I would check the cup holders on the inside though to make sure those arent rattling as that would be an easier fix.

    Speaking about Central Lock - where the heck is it? I dont have it on my car. it's 2003 1.8T

    any diy's? mine rattles like a mmmmotherf...!

    and my shifter too! i have to press down on the shifter a little for it not to make noise when going 3-5k accelerating.. anybody else has/had that?

    My armrest rattles when its all the way up, usually just pull it forward a tad and the rattle goes away!

    you have to take out the rear ashtray and the rear lock button....and it is just 1 bolt

    jesus, mine does this too its sooo f***** annoying , especially when your on the highway on a long trip and cant stop to fix it

    I was working in that area recently and had the armrest out. I also took some pictures that show the brackets for the armrest if you're interested. Armrest brackets at bottom of post.
