    treadwear question

    i have falken 615 rts, i know they are not gonna last long but i need to know what tire pressure i should set them at to get the optimum mileage and treadlife, 225/40 r18 on a mkv gti

    If you want even wear for the entire treadface, the VW recommended PSI should be best. we don't carry Falken, so don't know if your tire has any "special needs" that would require a different number

    Falken Azenis RT615's have pretty low tread wear ratings. I would go by what the vehicle recommends for the load. Make sure not to under inflate or over inflate which can result in uneven tread wear especially noticeable on those tires.

    yea i was asking because i heard from someone to put it at 90% of the maximum psi and i thought that was rather high
