Someone wants to run BOVs. :) And aren't our MAFs already before our TB, wouldn't you want it after?

Well I was going to change my whole setup around to a 2 into 1 Designed FMIC with a SSQV welded right to the outlet pipe on the IC. Then see if it were possible to remove the MAF sensor from the housing and make a Custom Housing in the Outlet pipe. Just an idea but its worth the shot.....

Yeah he was asking a question of moving the MAF, and I was stating it already was before, in this case wouldn't he be wanting the MAF after to make a change.

I don't understand what I have to think about...

I think hes wondering, as am I, where you would suggest he put a MAF sensor after a TB.. sandwiched between it and the intake manifold? or as I suggested, in the downpipes? I think the idea would be to run the MAF downstream of the "BOVs", but still before the TB? But theres not a whole lot of room to do that I guess, It would go right where the TBB is, and that intersection of the 2 charge pipes would probably not yeild accurate results from the sensor.

the maf is before the tb right now. what you are looking for is a blow-thru maf and i dont know if they make them for our car. you could probably make one yourself, but i dont know where you would go to get it tuned.

Re: New idea for a new setup

Our cars use pull through mafs, so putting it anywhere in the charge pipes would cause major problems. You could, as said above, retrofit a blow through maf on it but then youd have to do some major software changes for it to run right. If i were going to do changes like that i would just swap it over to speed density and call it a day. Ive never really been a fan of mafs to begin with, so id love to see a map conversion.
