AWE Exhaust fitment problem

Hey,

I installed my AWE exhaust tonight and had nothing but problems with it. The downpipe was resting on the crossmember and the midpipe is hitting on the heat shield under the driveshaft.

We played around with it for a while and got a bit more clearance but it still seems way too tight. I am getting a vibration inside the car from it hitting I think.

Its a 2008 Avant 2.0T Quattro 6-speed. Has anyone had any fitment issues with the AWE exhaust before? I only have 350km on the car... are the exhaust hangers too fresh still?

they shouldn't be, maybe call AWE in the AM and see what they say.

yeah AWE fitment is usually spot on. I have AWE and I think it went on flawlessly. Is it possible you got the wrong one, i.e. tip tranny or fwd or soemthing? Call AWE I think they will help you out.

Mine fit perfectly...call up and see if they can give you any suggestions.

Thanks alot guys! It didn't seem quite right from the get go. As soon as we slid the midpipe on the downpipe it didn't seem to fit right. I even took the whole system off the hangers and had minimum clearance.
