OEM door speakers dead!

my passenger side main door speaker is so blown im ready to drive my car off a cliff when i listen to music.. where can i get a replacement of either OEM, or aftermarket that will still work with the oem amps.

does anyone know the specs on the stock lower door speaker? size, wattage, ohms?

4" and 2ohm. Honestly if you happy with the way the systems sounds i would check the classifieds and look for someone selling their speakers OR put up a WTB post. Youll find someone within a few days guaranteed!!

Aftermarket speakers? I've heard going aftermarket can make it sound like shit if you're combining different brands or something...I would stay on the same side and look for a complete part out and grab the OEMs.

I found this guy selling on ebay USED speakers Each for $97 shipped.
Isn't that too much for used speakers?

you would be better off just replacing all your speakers than buying used due the fact they will probably take a shit in the next month and you wont have any warranty.

with most aftermarket speakers you'll have to make a custom bracket to mount them, but its not that bad.

if i were to go aftermarket, i would replace both front door speakers in order to maintain a more even sound. so the lower door speakers are 4"@2 ohm? what kind of power should i be looking at?

Shokan will have the used parts you are looking for. The OEM speakers are a unique design. they are very low impedence. If you replace them with an aftermarket selection, you will likely end up with a 4ohm speeaker, which will reduce the output of the factory amp to those speakers. by up to half! Though there may be some 2ohm 4" speakers out there, OEM is best unless you are replacing the amp also and doing a higher end system.

Easy, go to parts express and pick out a 4" 2 ohm driver. Or add resistors like you have to do to the ford systems.
