LED tails question!

Hey, i bought this SWEET! set of LED tails from someone on here, they are the group buy ones! Problem is like 90 LED's are burned out more like 24 but close enough! I know where to get the ones in the center, thats no biggy, but the ones attached to the circuit boards on the sides are burned out, i tried switching some around no luck!!! The ones on the circuit boards have to be soldered, not my fav thing to do but whatever, how can i fix the circuit board ones???? TIA

were they burnt out when you got them? or did they burn out afterwards? if when you got them, and the seller didnt tell you i would demand a refund. if they burnt out after you got them, youre supposed to wire them up with resistors so this doesnt happen. theres a writeup on here someplace..do a search for it.

^^no they were burnt out when i got them i got it for dirt cheap and i thought i could fix the LED's!!!! i can except for the 6 on the sides!!!! anyone?

Ever heard of a voltage regulator? I don't understand what makes people think LEDs will last in place of filament bulbs without any protection.

you need to figure out the resistance needed first and get some resistors

you need to solder new bulbs on the board. have fun with that.

I think your going to end up fileing these tail lights in to a rectangular file cabinet, or a round one.

^^Thanx i can fix them it's no biggy i know where to get the LED's and stuff just don't know which bulbs i need to solder to the circuit boards!

since you have them in your possession you can probably figure out which bulbs a little better than we can!
