Anyone want some B5 S4 springs and shocks? 60k miles. Perfect working order when removed for Coilovers. $100.

No as the springs would jack the car up although the shock could be used as a cheap upgrade.

The shocks are pretty much the same. Some say the damping is different but I've run two sets of 1.8t sport struts with a set of S4 struts between and didn't notice any difference. If there is a difference it is a very small one. I ran them with 1.8t sport springs and it was fine.

The springs are not the same. They would raise the front of the car even higher than the S4 which is already noticeably higher than a stock sport 1.8t A4.

FWIW, I track my TT already, and don't need C/O to pass man-test. Since I use the Avant for ACNA and Audi Motorsports events as an organizer, I'd rather not get C/O.

not 100% sure but the 2.8 sport shocks should be the same (or closer to) the S4's than the 1.8 sport shocks.

i'd still possibly be interested trading my Bilstein pss9's on my 2.8 for some S4 sports. so far i've never had a serious offer. that, or one guy needed them in a week and wasnt' very flexible. oh well. no hurry, i still love them.

Koni FSD are not available for our cars. If they were I'd be running them. Even more so if they were available as coilovers.

The S4 and 1.8 struts felt the same to me. Looked the same, smelled the same, etc..

If you are going with a softer street setup then the H-Sport bars are even more important. I've run with and without them and the difference they make with stock sport is unreal. I've run them on the track this way too. The brake dive is exaggerated but the steady state and dynamic cornering are excellent and way beyond what I expected.

These are more telling than they may first appear. I'm carrying 600 pounds more weight through the corners than the GTi and am still reeling him in. I was nowhere close to the apex and still had to back off. With proper lines I could have slid past but passing was only allowed on the straights in this run group. He was quicker than me on the straights and had to coast as I struggled to pass. Through the curvy parts I put some serious distance on him, the other GTis, and an R32 that sounded beautiful. At max cornering load the outside wheel gap closes by about an inch which is crazy considering how soft the stock sport springs are. You can see the inside gap opening up about an inch over how the car sits when still.
