actually depends on the last 2 digits of the primary filer. there is a release schedule for it.

unfortunately i will not be getting one. if you made over a 150k combined or 75k as single. thats nothing these days. i wish i was getting some free money. someone send me theirs so i don't feel left out.

I thought you would still one, just not as much. It's reduce by some percentage for each $k or something like that over the $150k/75k. Unless you make way over and it's reduced down to $0.

I know what you mean. I recently took a paycut for a project I really wanted to do personally that was $400/week lower than the last one last month, yet after taxes it's only $200 less... Sucks being right on the cusp of the tax bracket... unless your going down!

When you live in a major City where a decent 1br apartment costs $2100 & $4.35 gas... you are not rich unless you make a lot more than 100K!!!

Nevertheless, our brilliant elected leaders said I won't get a rebate either.

I only say that because if I was making so little as $95k/year in which not to qualify for the rebate, I wouldn't able to afford a one bedroom apartment and the S4 and that would be a shame. I would feel like I did when I drove an Eclipse and lived in a studio which sucked and made me feel unsuccessful. It's expensive to live a decent lifestyle around NYC.

You have to admit, that's a quite pompous ass thing to say. Espcially when the median US household income in 2006 was only $48k. $95k is not chump change and I would be lucky to see that someday. I'm lucky to be married and have 2 nice incomes but if I was single and according your definition, I would be not only poor, but close to poverty.

Anyway, I guess it's all relative to where you live. I live about 30 miles west of Philly so cost of living is high but not quite as high as NYC.

I just ran a cost of living calculation and it's a 65% cost increase to live in Manhattan than to live in Philly. A salary of $95k in Philly is equivalent to $156k in Manhattan.

I guess I see what you're saying but it's your choice to live and work in NYC and that's the price you have to pay.
