Going to launch the car at 2500rpm, 32 psi in tires, 100 octane, no spare, but i just can't figure out how to remove the rear seats, (i took the seats out of my dads old a6 4.2 in 15 minutes) this car is harder. Anyone done it? Looking for a 13.8@100mph, i probably won't get that and have to go on a shopping spree again. Wish me luck, and i just hope i break into the 13's b/c if i dont vast bt kit here i come, and levelten torque converter upgrade:)

Its great, car runs so much cooler and definately more powerful. I have not run it at WOT in quite some time. I am having some issues with the car being sluggish and what feels like fuel cuts (but cant be) I am having it retuned this Friday to see if that cures the issues. If not I dont know what to do and 14.1 may be my best. How sad.

    Good luck!

Take out the spare along with all of your tools, and run more air pressure in your tires! About 32psi is normal for daily driving, but you want to launch at a drag strip. Fill them up to about 40-42psi, because since you will be on a very sticky track, you want your tires to break loose so you can get a good launch. Seriously
    Ignorance is bliss.

Yikes have someone else drive your car or go on a diet.

J/P represent the tip! While it seems silly to 'weight reduce' this car in general, every little bit helps at the dragstrip - headrests, owners manual, floor mats, tool kit, glove box contents are all easy. Even throwing on your 17's once you get in a few runs and figure out the launch may help cuz those DTM reps are heavy!

What is powerbraking? Is it as simple as setting you emergency brake, revving your engine and then releasing and letting it rip? Or is it something completely different?

left foot on brake, right foot on gas. Gently press right foot/accelerator to 2k rpms and hold, wait for the light (or traffic situation), release left foot and floor the right foot. Car takes off like a bat outta hell. Don't go over 2.5kish rpm or your will stall like an ABS cut-out type thing. Turn off your esp and throw it in sport mode for good measure.

In older turbo cars without the computer interventions, you could brake boost while driving on the road if you were good.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you, Body kits and decals are how much of a mess you leave on the wall.

Correct, just so you can figure out what your 1/4 might be. It does seem that 1.54-1.55 is right on for our quattro cars. In the 7+ years of racing my A4 thats the #'s mine always show.

My last time at the track was 6.9-7.0 @ 1/8th mile and 10.69-10.82 @ 1/4.
