Resurfacing the Dual Mass Fly Wheel....

Has anybody got their dual mass flywheel resurfaced? Does the fly wheel assembly needs to be dismantled or it could be done as one piece?

The local machine shop is saying, they can not gets the grinding stone in a good contact as is and the flywheel assembly has to be dismantled.

It takes a special grinding stone and most shops do not have it. Southbend will resurface them with the purchase of a clutch, however you need to send it to them.

Search the classifieds and have them send it to Southbend (if you purchased one of their clutches). Then after you get your old one out list it in the classifieds. This saves some down time.
