    Are k04 inlet pipes mandatory?

    If I go with a k04 upgrade, do you have to have the inlet pipes as well, or could make the old one work. i searched.

    Pretty much mandatory unless somehow you can really custom fab pipes.
    It's much easier and cheaper to buy k04 inlet pipes.

    only alternative would be to contact genjdm. i think he custom fabs them.

    theres a way you can mod the k03 inlets to fit the k04's, Look on AW

    I read a while back that you can get away with cutting off the ends of the stock pipes and using silicone couplers to attach them to the turbos. It will limit your performance however.

    I looked on there and i hate that convoluted thread type. Using silicon hose connections could work nicely.

    You can fab up k03 inlets to get them to fit.

    Ask Marc (10secS4), he did it on his APR car.

    yeah its not too hard to get the k03 pipes to fit, or gen jdm or oem rs4 as last resort
