    Rattle Can Rims - Part 2:Results

    I was debating doing the Rattle Can Rim since I have major curb rash and don't have the cash to buy new rims.

    I saw the threads about people doing this a while ago and saved the link so that I can follow the steps. I can't remember who it was because I saved the link on another computer, but I was wondering how the Paint is holding up??

    i had alot of curb damage too..so what i did was i bondo-ed in the rash and sanded it down till it was smooth and painted tyhe rims afterwards.

    I did mine this weekend. Flat black primer with flat black on top of it.

    yeah, Ill try to get better ones this week. Also it rained and I live in pollen land so that's why it sucks.

    i think when i get my new wheels refinished and repaired i'll fuck with the stock ones...primer black then gloss black

    mine are holding up great -- but im gonna sand them down and re-do a couple spots that i'm not quite happy with. (scuffs from mounting tires)

    I rattle canned my Rs4's almost 2 years ago with Rustolum Satin finish.. Just make sure you prep the wheels well and do several light coats, it'll last for quite sometime

    you paint the inside of the wheel too right?

    (not the part thats under the tire but the "interior" of the wheel?)
