they gave me a call about 20 mins after i submitted my order online... apparently they don't keep the konigsport in stock, so they have to ship them over from germany.

all good - i don't mind waiting... though u guys will have to wait til i can feedback on what they are like.

I had the FK Silverline Plus on my 97 Gti VR6. They handled amazing and were a good bargain. The only problem I had with them is the adjusters seizing, from not washing and lubing the thread bodies every 2 months.

ah ok - i'll bear that in mind

however, maybe i can find some rubber convoluted sleeves to help protect the struts?

I think that kit comes with a silicone spray to lube them with. When you install them lube them with anit-sieze graphite grease and spray the entire coilover with the silicone spray. Water is actually what causes the thread bodies to corrode and the adjusters to seize.
